“Men are from Mars, women are from Venus” is the timeless relationship guide. This book is arguably the definitive book for keeping a happy, loving relationship.

The Game is the gospel for men wishing to pick up women. It is THE original mass marketed text and sings home many unspoken truisms. Use with caution, care, and sensitivity towards women’s feelings.

How to Buy Your Girlfriend the Perfect Gift

Knowing how to buy your girlfriend the perfect gift can put you in ‘the good books’ for at least a few days! Although everyone is different, there are some general tips towards gift buying that should be followed to avoiding falling foul of the recipient. I’d always advocate the list method to get things started.

Steps

1- Start by thinking about absolutely everything that she likes or may like, and make a list. Categorise everything under either an experience or something material. Do not put too much thought into the ‘ins and outs’ of things here because as you delve deeper you will both add and remove things from this list. On the side of this list, note down poignant moments in your relationship or things that you’ve already shared together. Should you be able to eventually tie both the present together with the ‘moment’, you’ll be on to a winner.

2- Now start thinking about what she doesn’t like. Things to consider include: What is she very particular about? Does she like grand gestures or does she prefer little understated things? Is she an out-door kind of girl?

3- Only now should you start to think about specifics. It’s too easy to start at this stage and this is where most people go wrong. It’s better to start with a bigger picture as in step 1 as this means you would have considered the picture and not have had your blinkers on. What brands does she like? What colours? Is there anything in particular that she collects? Hobbies? Is there anything that she needs (be careful here as ‘too practical’ a gift may seem a little cold)

4- Think about price; what can you afford? This should most definitely be a latter consideration as you should not neigh say things up until this point on account of it being too expensive. You may be able to make a personalised cheaper version for example. If she is very image conscious however, do not buy her something that she will consider to be ‘cheap’ when there are much more desirable alternatives- if you can’t afford the model or brand that she really wants, save this gift until you have the money to buy it.

5- Double check by speaking with her friends. Before you buy it, double check whether it’s something that she’ll like by talking with her friends. They’d most likely love to help you.

6- Wow her with delivery. Even if it’s just something as simple as a well wrapped gift, delivery is half of the present! Think outside of the box here but don’t make a public scene out of it if she’s a private person!

Tips

Clothes and underwear are risky. Don’t buy these unless you’re positive that you know her tastes and have the right size.

The perfect gift should match something that she’d love with a personal moment that you once, or will, share.

She may be dropping subtle hints so pay particular attention to her in the run up to her birthday or Christmas.

Ordering off of internet can be risky so be sure to only buy from a reputable source and do so in good time!
